Brian Boggon

Brian is semi-retired and is a volunteer for two other Darlington based charities. A trustee for Saint John of God Hospitaller Services, a national charity providing health and social care services to sick, vulnerable and disadvantaged people. A Trustee and Treasurer of Age UK North Yorkshire & Darlington, the UK's leading charity working with older people.

Brian is a qualified accountant and worked in the private sector for 10 years, followed by 32 years in the public sector. Brian finished his full-time career in 2016, after 27 years with Darlington Borough Council. He worked in all the major council departments and is most proud of leading the project to relocate the Department of Education behind the Town Hall. In 2017 Brian was project lead for five local councils to establish a Tees Valley wide adoption agency.
